Yukon's Sentinel 2.5x50 Night Vision Riflescope combines efficient design, ergonomics, reliability, and user friendly operation with enhanced levels of functionality. The remarkable construction of this riflescope provides high grade (IPX4) water-resistance; it can be operated in extremely precipitous situations while functioning normally, and without causing damage. Additional inner-tube protection is engineered into the design of this fine optic, for durability and repeatability under the severe axial stresses experienced when used with the majority of popular high-caliber firearms.

Low, or no-light target acquisition with this Sentinel NVRS is handled by a high-quality 1st generation intensifier tube rated at 30 lp/mm. First generation intensifiers offer the night vision enthusiast high resolution with notable levels of imaging performance at an attractive price point.

There are many different variables that affect the distance that one can see with a night vision device, among them the object's size, the level of details being sought from the object and the conditions of observation. Night vision devices detect much further under a full moon and clear skies than they will under a new moon and cloudy skies. Many different formulas are used to determine the statistic of maximum viewing range and the method of calculation varies by manufacturer. The important factors to consider when evaluating any night vision device are the intensifier tube's generation, s/n ratio, level of magnification, specified resolution, along with the clarity & light transmission efficiency of the optical system.

All night vision devices sold by B&H have mechanisms in place to protect the intensifier tube from a sudden burst of bright light, but this does not mean that bright light doesn't damage the device. No matter what, bright light in any form is not good for the longevity and performance of image intensifier tubes.

Two-Color Illuminated Reticle
Dual-color reticle provides quick target acquisition. The illumination level of the reticle can be adjusted for viewing under different lighting conditions. This reticle incorporates a rangefinding design, which allows you to judge the distance to a target of a known size, and compensate accordingly for bullet drop across long distances.
