The focusing mechanism of the SHG 8x42 operates via true internal focusing. Objects can be sharply captured from a distance of 2 meters. This works even in heavy rain, which poses no threat to the binoculars. A nitrogen filling ensures that the SHG 8x42 remains completely waterproof and fog-free.
High resolution
Like no other binoculars, the SHG series from DDoptics combines extremely high image resolution with sharp details all the way to the edge of the field of view. Stray light and chromatic aberrations are almost completely eliminated through advanced techniques and the highest quality materials.
Light transmission
SHG binoculars offer maximum light transmission up to 93% (90%-91% night value and 93% maximum measured value during the day) and provide an entirely new viewing experience with color brilliance, contrast, and brightness. This is achieved through newly developed FLK glass from Japan, dielectric prism coatings, and a new lens coating. Field-Flattener eyepieces reduce distortion at the edges while preventing the well-known "globe effect."
Large field of view
The newly developed rubber armor ensures that SHG binoculars almost "stick" to the hands, preventing slipping even in rain. The field of view is also premium: 141.75 m for the SHG 8x42 and 115.5 m for the SHG 10x42, with sharp details all the way to the edges.
